Joseph "Buddy" Albert Flynn, Jr., 69, of Currie passed peacefully from his earthly life Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Brunswick Cove Living Center.

He was born May 16, 1953 in Pender County, the son of Joseph Albert Flynn and Gladys Gainey Flynn. In addition to his parents Buddy was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn and brother, Claude Flynn.

Buddy is survived by his son Corey Adam Flynn; three grandchildren; sisters, Cherry Clark (Bo), Diane Fodrie (Les), and April Stephens (Ben); brothers, David "Tom" Flynn and Kent Flynn (Rhonda); and many nieces and nephews.

Buddy was a third generation painter. He began painting at a very young age and excelled in his lifelong painting career. Fishing and hunting were passions enjoyed by Buddy. Most of all Buddy loved his family. Buddy was loved and will be greatly missed.

Buddy will be laid to rest with his family in Flynn Family Cemetery, Currie.
