Joseph "Joe" Linwood Bowden, Jr., 65, of Burgaw passed from his earthly life Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at his home.

He was born in Pender County, the son of Maggie Horne Bowden Puckett and Joseph Linwood Bowden. In addition to his father Joe was preceded in death by his brothers, Tony Bowden and J. D. Bowden.

Joe is survived by his mother, Maggie; sister, Sheila Bowden Flynn; and brother, Mark Bowden.

For many years Joe worked installing and finishing concrete and it is noted that he was a diligent and hard worker. Most recently Joe worked with Reuben Murray in yard maintenance.

Joe was a soft spoken quiet man with a big caring heart. He loved his family and his presence in our lives will be greatly missed.

There will be no service at this time.
