Joseph "Joe" Ray Jarmon, 67, of Currie passed from his earthly life Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.

He was born November 15, 1954, the son of the late Linberg Jarmon and Bessie Mae Williams Jarmon Henderson.

Left to cherish good memories of Joe are his wife of forty three years, Teresa Johnson Jarmon; daughter, Shannon Jarmon Leigh and her husband, Chris; granddaughter, Bethany Sotelo; brothers, Jimmy Jarmon, Steve Jarmon and Jerry Jarmon; sister, Sheila Dibibar; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Joe loved all outdoors and nature that God made. He enjoyed hunting - squirrel, deer, you name it and Joe would give it a try. He also was quite a fisherman. Being a devoted husband, daddy and outstanding granddaddy (Bethany was the apple of his eye), and brother, Joe adored his family. Joe's family will miss his home cooked meals as he was the chef in the family. Thanksgiving and Christmas meals were his specialty, and they were delicious. Joe's passing will leave and empty place at our family table and in our hearts.

A graveside service will be 2:00pm Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Riverview Memorial Park with the Rev. Brad Thurston conducting the service.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Foundation, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
