It is with sad hearts that we share with you the passing of our loved one, Joseph Earl King, Jr. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the age of 69.

He was born in Fort Riley, Kansas on July 30, 1954 to Bernice Thomas King and the late Joseph Earl King, Sr. Joseph was also preceded in death by their son, Robert King.

In addition to his mother Joseph is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Karlene Schwartz King; sons, Joseph Earl King III and wife, Mary and James Michael King; grandchildren, Riley King, Jamison King and Raina King; brothers, Jerry King and Jeff King (JJ); sister, Janet Fauerbach (Mike); and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Joe worked 36 years in Missouri law enforcement, first working for Cass County Sherrif Department and retiring from Harrisonville Police Department.

For fun and relaxation Joe enjoyed fishing and in  years past hunting. He spent many happy hours riding his motorcycle, some of the time Karlene was sitting right behind him on that motorcycle. What a wonderful life they had. The most important thing in Joseph's life was his family, especially his sons and grandchildren. Joe lived his life to the fullest and gave his all to any endeavor he undertook. Joseph's presence in our lives and in our hearts will surely be missed.

A family memorial service will be at a later date in Missouri.
