Josephine "Jo" Dierling, age 79, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023.

She was born on December 14, 1943 in Plainfield, NJ to the late William Lewis George and Hilma Feil George.

Jo was a very active member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church. She was also the current president of the Elizabeth Chapter of The Order of the Daughters of the King. Jo was a devoted bible study participant. She loved to read and play solitaire. Most of all, Jo loved spending time with her family and friends.

Jo is survived by her husband, Charles Edward Dierling; sons, Stephen Dierling, John Dierling, and Thomas Dierling (Susie); daughter, Angela Dukate (Mark); sister, Christine Tibbetts; grandchildren, Hannah Dierling, Morgan Dierling, Allison Dierling, Gabby Dierling, Jack Dierling, Justin Dierling, Nicole Dierling, Courtney Kluth (Thomas), Madison Dierling, Camryn Dierling, Kira Dierling, Iva Dukate, and Brock Dukate; and great-grandchild, Charlotte Kluth.

In addition to her parents, Jo was preceded in death by her son, William Dierling.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, June 23rd, 2023, at Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Myrtle Grove with Reverend Anne Abdy officiating.
