Joshua Bo Rochelle, 30, of Leland died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at his home.
He was born November 2, 1985 in Wilmington. Joshua was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ray Rochelle and Ruth Rochelle and maternal grandfather, Paul Wayne Anderson.
Joshua is survived by his mother, Liz Rochelle of Leland; father, Bobby Ray Rochelle (Barbara) of Hampstead; son, Sampson Beau Deckard of Missouri; brothers, Bobby Ray Rochelle, Jr. of Surf City and Jeffrey Riggs Anderson of Pigeon Forge, TN; sister, Jessica Emily Rochelle of Hampstead; niece, Jaiden Emily Jones; grandmother, Martha Blake Anderson of Leland; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Joshua was a long time dedicated member of Hampstead Fire Department. He was a beautiful light who cast a beacon of love, laughter, and genuine kindness to all who crossed his path. He will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends 1 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Hampstead Ward with memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
Bishop Shawn Smith will be presiding. Burial will follow in Latter Day Saints Cemetery.
Bearers will be Andy Holley and Justin Holley. Honorary bearers will be Anthony Roseman, Walter Wiggs, Brandon Blue and Empie Sidbury.
