Joyce Shepard Barnes, age 81 of Wilmington passed away Friday, December 20, 2013.

She is preceded in death by her husband John Monroe Barnes, Jr.

Joyce is survived by her sons John M. Barnes, III, Randy L. Barnes and Larry D. Barnes, daughter Donna B. Norris, grandchildren Anna, Katie, Jackie, Meagan, Keith, Shepard and Anne Lassiter, sisters Emma Toth, Catherine Brown, Joanne Yopp and brother Ralph Watters.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, December 23, 2013 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Bradley Creek Chapel where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park.
