Juanita Blanton Garner, age 60, of Clinton died Sunday, March 20, 2011 in Sampson County.

She was born June 6, 1950 in Pender County and was the daughter of the late Willie Nathaniel and Martha Leary Blanton. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Donald Ray Blanton and Kenneth Wayne Blanton.

Juanita leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 37 years, Sim Garner of the home; son, Thurman "T.J." Garner of Goldsboro; granddaughter, Haley Marie Garner; sisters, Betty B. Carroll and husband, Robert of Lillington and Diane B. Jones and husband, James of Harrells; brothers, David Blanton and wife, Stephanie of Willard, Michael Blanton and wife, Carol of Loris, SC, Willie Oscar "Bud" Blanton of Willard and Rodney Dwayne Blanton of Rose Hill; special cousin, Annie Ruth McNeil and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Peniel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with the Reverend Tom Dorman and the Reverend Dewey Ball officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service until 8:00 pm at the church.

Juanita was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She found great joy in the simplest of things, but her greatest joy was family. With a joyful spirit she filled her home with love and welcomed all who entered. Juanita was a good neighbor and friend who was always there for anyone who needed her. She was loved by all. Jauanita's family is grateful to God for her life and memories of her will forever remain in our hearts.
