Judy Ann Rouse Jones, 67, of Rose Hill passed away unexpectantly Sunday, July 3, 2022, following extensive heart surgery.

She was born on May 3, 1955, in Statesville, NC; the daughter of the late Chester Joseph and Helen Ann Griffin Rouse.  Judy was predeceased by her grandson, William Thomas "T.J" Mattox.

Surviving is her best friend and husband of 48 years, William Glenn Jones; her daughters, Amy Lynn Cavenaugh and husband, Bryan of Wallace and Sommer Renee Jones and fiancé Jeffery Graham of Rose Hill; grandchildren, Autumn Nicole Mattox and Austin Harley Mattox; great granddaughter Karsyn Lynn Smith; sister Nancy Skipper of Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved Judy dearly.

Judy was loving wife and caring mother, grandmother and sister.  She found great joy in the simplest things in life, but her greatest joy was family.  Judy's life revolved around her husband, her girls and her grandchildren.  She was an avid animal lover, especially to her and Glenn's canine "babies".   Judy really enjoyed riding her lawn mower and working in her yard.  Being a quiet and humble lady Judy knew how blessed she was and was grateful to God for His blessings.  She was short in statue, but she was very tall when it came to loving and taking care of her family.  Judy will surely be missed but memories of her will remain in the hearts of those who loved and knew her.

There will be a memorial service for Judy at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with Pastor Bobby Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, one hour prior the service, on Saturday at the funeral home.

Judy will later have a private family burial at Fussell Cemetery in Rose Hill.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be send to Wallace Pentecostal Holiness Church, Building Fund, PO Box 354, Wallace, NC  28466.
