Julie Cheryl Mann Siddens, 70, of Wallace left this earthly life for her eternal rest on early Wednesday morning, December 30, 2015 from Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Wilmington.
She was born on July 14, 1945 in Eureka, Kansas and was the daughter of the late John and Iona Charboneau Mann.
Cheryl received her Bachelor of Science in Business Education at Emporia State University. She continued her education in Advanced Training classes at Brooking Institute, Cannon Private Banking and Trust School and was accredited by Synovus Financial Corporation as a certified Private Clients Services Relationship Manager. Her education along with her personality and love for people carried her a long way as she held various positions in Law and Government affairs, Engineering and Human Resources. She was employed with AT&T for 31 years where she served as District Manager and Vice-President of Consumer Marketing. From 1997 to 2008, Cheryl worked as Vice-President-Relationship Manager of various banks specializing in Private Client Services as well as Private Banking Group.
Cheryl served on Board of Directors for Boys and Girls Club and March of Dimes-Hilton Head. She was a vital part of Greater Missouri Leadership Program, Kansas City Tomorrow Civic Leaders Program, United Way Campaign Cabinet in Hilton Head and a member of the Rotary Club.
Surviving to cherish her memory is the love of her life and devoted husband of 25 years, Larry Max Siddens of the home; step-son, Ryan Siddens of Jersey City, New Jersey; brothers, Craig Mann of Orange County, California and Conlee Mann of Detroit, Michigan and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Not only was Cheryl a busy career woman, she was first a loving wife and caring step-mother and sister who loved her family first and foremost. She was a woman of uncommon character, beauty and grace and was a joy to be around. To know Cheryl was to love her. She was a lady in every sense of the word. Being a friend to all, she was a strong yet gentle and loving presence to all who were blessed to know her. Cheryl will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the heart of those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Wallace Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be sent to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
