Karen Lee Townsend Gruskin, age 68, of Teachey died Friday, May 21, 2010 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter.

She was born on October 18, 1941 in Buffalo, New York to the late Julian C. and Isabelle Townsend. She was predeceased by her sister, Linda Townsend.

Surviving is her husband, David Gruskin of the home; son, Drew Levine, Jr. and wife, Ann of Long Island, New York and brother, Julian Averill Townsend and wife, Suzanne of Bloomsfield Hill, Michigan.

Mrs. Gruskin was a devoted wife and caring mother, grandmother and sister who loved her family dearly. Being a hardworker and a people's person, she enjoyed working as a photo technician for Walgreen's of Wallace. Cherished memories of Karen will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
