Katherine Kay Piner, age 61, of Willard, NC, passed away on November 7, 2021, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. She was born on December 24, 1959, in Columbus County, NC, to the late Maddie Mae Hayes and Lynwood Register.

Mrs. Piner is survived by her husband, Allen Piner; sons Allen Piner Jr. (Mary Bell), Christopher Piner (Reagan), Richard Piner (Lisa), Kevin Piner, and Bryan Sanders (Jenifer); 8 grandchildren; and sisters, Shirley Rackley (John) and Slyvia Sawyer (Willie).
