Obituary

Kathleen Barnhill Parker, 72 years of age of Burgaw N.C. , passed away on August 12, 2026. She fought a long hard two year battle with Pancreatic cancer. She fought like a warrior but kept a smile throughout.

Kathy was born in Wrightsville Beach, N.C. She was married to Gary Dean Parker and happily shared 35 years of marriage. She has two surviving children, Meredith Hutson Snyder and Casey Dean Parker and her grandchildren. She dedicated 46 years of her life to her passion in nursing. She made it her mission to improve the lives of all she met. She is survived by her sisters, nieces, nephews, children and grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 6:00 pm at Friendly Community Baptist Church, 1730 US Hwy 117 N, Burgaw N.C 28425. Pastor Adam Kord will conduct the service.
