Kathleen Louise Proulx died unexpectedly on January 31, 2014 in her home In Hampstead.
She was born in Natrona Heights, PA to the late James J. and Laura K. (Kate) Faust of Sarver, PA on November 9, 1961.
Kathleen graduated from Knoch High School in Saxonburg, PA and then joined the United Stated Marine Corp. After her honorable discharge, she worked initially as a dental assistant and through time she earned her LPN and RN degrees. Her most recent employment was at Cape Fear Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, NC.
Kathleen was passionate about her family, friends, pets, and nature. She had a very special love for her dogs and cats and she loved horses and horseback riding. She was also gifted at various crafting activities. She was a voracious reader and especially loved the study of Scripture. She was regarded by all who knew her as a kind, loving and generous friend.
Married for thirty-three years, she is survived by her husband Morgan R. Proulx of Hampstead, NC; their daughter Bridget I. Proulx and her husband William Schultz; and their two grandchildren, William Schultz and Morgan Schultz of Auburn, NY. In addition to her mother, she is also survived by two sisters, Laura J. Faust of Hampstead, NC and Reva J. Faust of Tampa, FL.
There will be no visiting hours.
A celebration of Kathleen's life will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Beth Simcha Messianic Jewish Congregation located at 7957 Market Street, Wilmington, NC (just south of Porter's Neck). Anyone who wishes to attend may do so. For driving directions, go to www.bethsimchanc.com.
