Kathryn "Kathy" Ann Nicholas Murdock, age 67, of Willard passed unexpectedly from her earthly life to her eternal rest on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born January 24, 1945 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Stanley and Kathryn Pieton Nicholas. Also lovingly remembered is her husband of 34 years, Kenneth L. Murdock who preceded Kathy in death.

Kathy and Kenneth fell in love as high school sweethearts and married at the tender age of 17. They had a blessed marriage and continued to compliment each other's lives all through their years together. Being a dedicated homemaker, Kathy was an accomplished seamstress and wonderful cook, creating a home filled with love and sunshine. She was the best mom and friend to Kandy and Kenneth, Jr. who will miss their mom more than words can express. Kathy's bright smile, caring manner and joyful spirit are cherished and will always be remembered.

Surviving Kathy is her loving family; her daughter, Kandy Graves (Kirk) of Atkinson; son, Kenneth L. Murdock, Jr. of the home; granddaughter, Lynelle M. Floyd; brothers, Stanley G. Nicholas (Michele) of Youngstown, Ohio and Michael Nicholas (Susan) of Henderson; and extended family and friends.
