Kathy Elders Darden, 60, of Wilmington, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at home after a short illness.
She was born on December 7, 1957, in Jackson County, North Carolina to the late Virgil and Opal Lee (Pressley) Elders.
Kathy's greatest passion in life was being a loving mother to her two children. At this she was a great success. Her and her loving attention will be greatly missed by Chris and Carrie.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Richard Stewart Darden; son, Christopher Darden and his wife Molly; daughter, Carrie Darden; brother, Tony Elders; sister, Derinda Morgan and her husband, Kevin; nephew, Adam Elders; nieces, Emily Edmonds and her husband Jeremy, Katy Elders, Ryan Nations and her husband Matt; and great nieces, Mason and Paisley.
Kathy's funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington with Rev. Amanda McCullough officiating. Burial will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
