Kay Trump Overby, 77, of Rocky Point, a beautiful Southern lady, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024 at her home.

Kay was born September 4, 1946 in Harnett County, the daughter of Ruby Jackson Trump Mason. In addition to her parents Kay was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Rev. Dwight Wayne Overby; daughter, Tracey Overby Garner; brother, Ricky Duane Trump; sister, Diane Lewis; and stepfathers, Frank Trump and Willard Mason.

Kay is survived by her sister, Judy Trump Johnson; brother, Larry Willard Mason (Patricia); son-in-law, Rev. Mark Garner (Jean); sisters-in-law, Carolyn Hayes (Hampton) and  Carol Trump; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Many remember Kay working at City Optical as she helped folks select the perfect pair of glasses.

Kay was a loving, dedicated wife, mother, sister and friend. Kay's abiding faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ was evidenced by her daily life.

The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00  pm Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Riley's Creek Baptist Church, 19845 NC Hwy NC 210, Rocky Point, followed by funeral service at 2:00 p.m. conducted by The Rev. Mark Garner.

Burial will follow in Riley's Creek Memorial Cemetery.
