Kay Frances Willetts, 84, formerly of Jacksonville Avenue, Wilmington NC and most recently Hagerstown, MD passed away December 7th, 2020 surrounded by family. Kay was born May 4th 1936 to Letha Teachey Carter and Wilbert J. Carter of Wilmington.

Kay worked as a Trimmer for France Neckwear for many years and later for Williams Cleaners from which she later retired to become a caregiver for her mother.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter M. Willetts, and one granddaughter Alexis Howard.

She leaves behind daughter Lisa Ryan and husband Dennis of Martinsburg, WV; grandchildren Sarah C. Turtle and Parker, Joseph H. Nuttall III and Samantha, Kallista Arvin and Chris, Destinee Ryan and Drew Ryan all of Martinsburg, WV. Daughter Elizabeth Howard; grandson Jeffrey Howard Jr of Wilmington. Daughter Tracy Shields and David Hunt of Greenville NC; grandchildren Gregory King Jr of Asheville NC and Daniel King of TN. She also leaves behind 7 Great grandchildren.

Kay was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother that loved to travel and shop. She will forever be loved and missed by her family.

She will be laid to rest at Riverview Memorial Park, Wallace NC on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 2:00pm.
