Obituary

Keagy Hurley Lewis, 54, of Wilmington died Friday, July 22, 2011 at Woodbury Wellness Center in Hampstead.

He was born August 27, 1956 in Wilmington and was the son of the late William F. and Norma Howard Lewis.

Keagy is survived by three brothers, William F. Lewis, Jr. and his wife, Terri of Zebulon, Edward H. Lewis of Raleigh and Christopher Kelly Lewis of Swansboro and his many friends at Kerr House in Wilmington.

Keagy worked at Coastal Enterprises, Domino Pizza and Gulf Atlantic for a number of years. For many years Keagy attended College Acres Baptist Church where he was a faithful member of the Praise Class.

Keagy loved his family and enjoyed nothing better than flying with his dad and going fishing with his brother, Kelly. In 1984 Keagy moved to Kerr House where he spent many happy years, making lasting friendships with his peers and the staff. Keagy had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and do things for others. He looked forward to and thoroughly enjoyed his yearly trips to Myrtle Beach. Keagy's bright smile, gentle laughter and faith in God will always be cherished.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Bradley Creek Chapel with Pastor Andy Ickes and Mr. Chuck Noe officiating.
