Kelly Harrell Satterly, 42, of Clayton and formerly of Burgaw passed from her earthly life on Monday, May 2, 2016 at her home.
She was born September 28, 1973 in Wilmington and was the daughter of Bobbi Harrell Kamen and the late Larry Franklin Harrell.
Kelly is survived by her husband of 21 years, Donald "Don" Satterly; daughter, Megan Elizabeth Satterly; step-daughter, Winter Cox; granddaughter, Bailey Winner; mother, Bobbi Kamen and her husband, Brian; her dearest friends of many years, Patricia Flake Thornton and Barbara Casey Medlin; and many extended family and friends, all who dearly loved Kelly.
She was a graduate of Harrells Christian Academy and Cape Fear Community College in Medical Transcription. She also attended Elon College and UNC-W. For several years Kelly worked in medical records department at Pender Memorial Hospital. Kelly was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Clayton Ward - Smithfield Branch.
A devoted and remarkable mother, wife, daughter, and friend, Kelly loved with all of heart and readily shared her radiant smile. She enjoyed the simple things in life, but most important was her beloved family with her daughter, Megan, being the light of her life. Reading, crocheting, knitting and caring for her dogs and cats - Harley, Sadie, Cody, Sophie and Sassy were things Kelly loved. Kelly's sweet, sweet spirit, compassion for others, and her always giving and forgiving way in life will be remembered.
The family will receive friends at 12 noon on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with service at 1:00 p.m. Bishop John Edmund along with speakers from the LDS church will conduct the service. Dedication of the grave at Riverview Memorial Park will follow the service.
Kelly loved flowers and they are welcomed to honor her. Also welcomed and much appreciated are donations to a charity of your choice or you may show a kindness to someone in need while remembering Kelly.
