Kenneth Benjamin
Bruns
Sep 10, 1954 — Aug 26, 2026
Currie
Our world was blessed for 71 years by the life of Kenneth Benjamin Bruns who passed from his earthly life August 26, 2026 at home.
He was born September 10, 1954 in Cary, Illinois, the son of Donald Bruns and Martha Evelyn Moseley Manley. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Joyce Bruns; and sons, Kenneth Matthew Donald Bruns and Zachary Edward Bruns.
Kenneth is survived by Pamela Wilkinson Garcia; children, Rebecca Everett (Jeremiah), David Bruns (Tracey), and Abigale Bruns (Andy Brinkley); stepchildren, Jeffrey, Jason, Devra, Brandon, and Natasha; grandchildren, Madison, Avery, Lincoln, Jayme, Kenny, Kyle, Jase, Evan, Kenlee, and Allan; and many extended family and friends.
Kenneth Benjamin Bruns will be remembered as a man who was at times a little quiet, but he had a big personality.
Ken and Pam shared 18 years together and he loved her deeply. There were so many laughs throughout their time together. His children will always remember being taken care of. They have memories of him playing games with them, storytelling, practical jokes, hiking, and campfires.
By trade he was a carpenter. But he really could do it all. He’d build it from scratch and then trim it out with the most beautiful, detailed finishes. He also had a spectacular creative side. He has left a collection of interesting poems, writings along with unique artwork. He mastered the harmonica and was learning the guitar. We just can’t remember a time coming home without finding the radio on.
His dog Sebastian was his best friend, he couldn’t walk outside without Sebastian following his every step. He will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. We love you Ken.
