Kenneth Edens Johnson, Jr., 74, of Kelly passed from his earthly life Monday, April 11, 2022.

He was born October 9, 1947 in Duplin County, the son of Kenneth Edens Johnson, Sr. and Catherine Elizabeth Robinson Johnson.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Tammy Robinson and her husband, Randy; granddaughter, Samantha Diaz and her husband, Manuel; great grandson, Nicolas Diaz; and sisters, Betsy Chestnut, Peggy Newell and Terry White; many extended family members and friends.

He served his country proudly and honorably in the US Army.

Kenneth was a great daddy, granddaddy, great granddaddy, brother and friend. He enjoyed being outdoors in God's wonderful world of nature – hunting and planting flowers were favorite pastimes. He was also known to be a good cook and for many years he cooked professionally in restaurants. Kenneth was loved and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Rockfish Memorial Cemetery, Hwy 41, Wallace, NC .
