Kenneth Ray Roberson, age 57, of Wallace left this earthly life for his eternal rest on Saturday, August 27, 2016.

He was born on August 31, 1958 in Sumter, SC and was the son of the late Billy C. and Gaynell Raynor Roberson.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Ella Kay Murray Roberson; daughters, Angela Faye Brice and husband, Stephen and Tracy W. Johnson and husband, Hugh, all of Ivanhoe; step-son, Timothy Brown; grandchildren, Iaan Lee Roberson, Maylass Johnson, Parker Brice and William Lee Brown; brothers, Paul Donnie Roberson and wife, Melissa of Watha and David A. Roberson and wife, Margit of Goldsboro; brothers-in-law, William Randall Murray and John Murray, both of Wallace and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Kenneth was a devoted husband and caring father, grandfather and brother who loved his family dearly. He was a hard worker and great provider for his family as long as his health permitted. With a heart of gold, Kenny would give the shirt off his back and lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will surely be missed but treasured memories of him will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved Kenny.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with the Reverend Chris Jarman officiating.

Burial will follow in Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Burgaw.

Casketbearers will be Stacy Beliely, Greg Evans, Brian Jones, Brant Murray, Brendle Murray and Carroll Murray. Honorary casketbearers will be Russell Brice and Brandon Murray.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Monday evening, August 29, 2016 at the funeral home.
