Kimberly Ann Barnes Austin, 60, of Burgaw passed gently from her earthly life Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington. She was born May 2, 1962 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Frank Leroy Barnes and Wilma Joann Fible Barnes.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 24 years, Donald Ray Austin; sons, Jeremy Hickman (Kathy) and Jason Hickman (Hollie); daughter, Jessica Hickman Spaugh (Jeffrey); her beautiful granddaughters Emilee, Mackenzie, Caroline, and Kimberly; her handsome grandsons, William and Aidan; brothers Brad Barnes and Brian Barnes; and her dear furbabies, Chloe, Charlie, and Breeanna.

Kimberly loved her family, especially her grandchildren who brought her much joy. She enjoyed all of God's nature down on the Cape Fear River and her furbabies loved river walks too. Kimberly's presence in our family circle and in our Ramsey Road community will be greatly missed.

Following Kimberly's request there will be no services.
