Kimberly JoAnne Bullard-Benson, 45, of Rocky Point passed peacefully from her earthly life on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center.
She was born August 13, 1970 in Wilmington, the daughter of JoAnne Helton Bryan and the late Jackie Earl Bullard, Sr.
In addition to her mother, Kimberly is survived by her husband, Billy Benson of the home; son, Austin Whitley of Castle Hayne; step-son, Zach Benson of the home; brothers, Jackie Bullard, Jr. (Carmen) of Winnabow, Shane Bullard of Castle Hayne and Butch Bullard (Charity) of Wilmington; nieces and nephews, Cody, Olivia, G. K., Jr., Chase, Molly, Halie and Alyssa; special friend, Mary Jordan and family; and many extended family and friends all who loved Kimberly and will miss her.
Kimberly was a loving wife and caring mother, sister and friend. She was a diligent worker, loving and taking care of her horses and dogs, especially Mia and Toby. Kimberly always had a smile on her face, a helping hand stretched out, and a heart ready to show the love of Christ within her. Kimberly had a very strong will and the word Can't was not in her vocabulary. Her journey on this earth has come to an end, only to begin on the other side. One day we will meet again. It was evident that God's love shined brightly in Kimberly's life. Kimberly's favorite Bible verse was Philippians 4:13.
