Kimberly Ann
Cooke
Apr 10, 1983 — Jan 24, 2026
Kimberly Ann Cooke of Wilmington passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
She was born on April 10, 1983, in Mecklenburg County to the late Sebastian T. Cooke, II and Anna S. Cooke of Belmont, NC.
She graduated from South Point High School and then attended UNC-Wilmington to receive a BS Degree in Geology and Geosciences. She returned ten years later to receive an MA Degree in Geology and Paleontology. She served as a pharmacy technician at Walgreens in Wilmington.
One of the most fond memories of Kim was her befriending a homeless lady going each month to give her needed supplies and even taking her to her apartment during the summer to shower. She had a heart of gold and would give to anyone in need even if it meant doing without herself.
After having 2 hip surgeries last year Kim was under a doctor's care with heart issues and this was very unexpected.
If you would like to honor Kim's memory through a contribution you can send it to St. Jude Children's Research , PO Box 1998, Memphis, TN 38101 or Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina , 500-B-Spratt Street, Charlotte, NC. 28206
Her mother asks for privacy as she navigates this most precious loss. Please keep her in your prayers.
Services and intermit will be private.
Shared memories and condolences may be sent to the family by selecting the Tribute Wall above.
