Larry Allen Brown, age 71, of Teachey died Wednesday, May 29, 2012 at Brian Center of Wallace.

He was born December 14, 1940 in Duplin County; the son of the late James Arnold Brown, Sr. and Edith Dixon Brown. He was also predeceased by his sister, Ann Hall.

Mr. Brown was a graduate of Wallace-Rose Hill High School and Durham Institute of Barbering. He was owner and operator of Larry's Barber Shop in Wallace.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 50 years and the love of his life, Frances Brinkley Brown of the home; brothers, James Arnold Brown, Jr. (Dorothy) of Hampstead and Danny Lee Brown of Teachey; sister, Libby Sue Ezzell (Charles) of Wilmington and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be at 11:00am on Friday, June 1, 2012 at Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Phillips officiating.

Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery, Wallace.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace.
