Larry Joel Fournier, 62, of Hampstead passed peacefully from his earthly life to his eternal rest on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center with family at his bedside.

He was born October 12, 1949 in Fayetteville and was the son of Joseph Francis and Edith Hall Sessoms Fournier.

Larry is survived by his wife of 28 years, Denise Howard Fournier; two sons, one daughter; one brother; one sister; many extended family and friends.

Larry loved his family and was a loving husband, daddy, brother and friend. He enjoyed nothing better than a gathering of family and friends for cookouts where many times Larry would do the grilling. Always with a song in his heart and joyful laughter he brought sunshine into the lives of those near and dear to him. Larry's family is grateful to God for his life and for all acts of kindness shown to them during his illness.

A time of celebrating Larry's life and sharing memories was held Monday evening, July 2, 2012 at the home of his brother-in-law, Danieland Lori Howard in Hampstead
