Leamon Lee Gurganus, age 83 of Maple Hill died Saturday at his home.

He was born July 14, 1924 in Pender County and was the son of the late Nat Nixon Gurganus and Roxie Foy Gurganus.

Surviving are three nieces, Rita Wood of Wilmington, Ann Mobley of Wallace and Janet Dowdy of Burgaw.

A memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, August 2, at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with the Rev. Mickey Cox officiating.
