Leavy Hall Sellers, Jr., 72, of Castle Hayne passed from his earthly life on March 14, 2016 at his home.

He was born October 9, 1943 in Brunswick County, the son of the late Leavy Hall and Thelma Callie Harper Sellers. Leavy was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Sellers and sister, Betty Meares.

Leavy is survived by his wife, Patricia Todd Sellers; children, Callie Sellers, Michael Sellers (Jeanette) both of Wilmington, Eugene Sellers of Oklahoma City, OK, Larry Sellers (Christy) of Meeker, OK, Teresa Watkins and Bill Cale; grandchildren, Grayson, Ashley, Miranda, Allen, Levi, Ethan, Mary, Adam, and Rebecca; great grandchildren, Kassidy, Brody, Alexis, Bailey, Genesis, Autumn and Anna; brothers, Martin Sellers and Jeff Sellers both of Shallotte; and many extended family and friends.

Leavy was a man of Christian faith who not only talked the talk, but walked the walk sharing his belief in Jesus Christ. Being blessed with musical talents, he enjoyed playing the guitar, banjo, and mandolin. Another favorite pastime was riding in his golf cart. Leavy was a true Southern gentleman who dearly loved his family. He loved all of nature and God's creations, especially his dog. Cherished memories of Leavy will forever remain in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Port City Community Church in the Living Room conducted by Pastor Mark Allen.
