Leighton Hall, age 85, of Wallace died Monday, November 10, 2008 at his residence.

He was born January 3, 1923 in Duplin County and was the son of the late Leslie King and Effie Rivenbark Hall. He was also predeceased by his wife, Mary Alice Kendall Hall; granddaughter, Crystal Tucker, brothers, Colon Hall, Stedman Hall, Elbert Hall, Manley Hall, David Hall and Brakely Hall and sister, Bessie Mae Varga.

Mr. Hall was employed with Franklin Life Insurance Company for forty-five years. He was an honorable Mason of Wallace Lodge #595 A.F. & M. for over fifty years. A dedicated family man and servant of his community; he was a member of Wells Chapel Baptist Church and Wallace Rotary Club.

Surviving are his daughter, Jeffery Hall Evans of Warrenton, son, Kendall Hall and wife, Annette of Harrells; grandchildren, Cate Stuckey and husband, Lucas, Cara Evans, Wendy Haggard, Glenda Tucker and Richard Tucker; great grandchildren, Christopher Tucker, Cory Tucker, Brittany Tucker and Starr Haggard; sister, Rachel Ezzell of Wallace; caregiver, Lottie Fowler and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Rockfish Memorial Cemetery with the Reverend Stan Jenkins officiating.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday at Mr. Halls residence.
