Lela Mintz Malpass, 73, of Wilmington, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 while in the arms of her son.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy O. Malpass and her daughter Francis Lockamy.

Lela is survived by her two sons Tom Malpass and wife Pat and Bruce Malpass, two grandchildren Audrey and John, III, and son in law Johnny Lockamy.

Lela was a member of Castle Hayne Baptist Church where she was involved in the Ladies Group. She was a babysitter.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Friday, February 15, 2013 at Castle Hayne Baptist Church where the family will receive friends starting at noon. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park.
