Lena Mae Batts Cavenaugh, age 82, of Wallace, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Duplin General Hospital.

Mrs. Cavenaugh was born June 4, 1925 in Duplin County and was the only child of the late William and Hazel Batts Bradshaw. She was predeceased by her husband, Watus Cavenaugh; her son, Timothy A. Cavenaugh; step daughter, Gladys Ramirez; step granddaughter, Lynne` Robinson Price and her step great grandson, Jeremy Feight.

Surviving are her devoted daughter, Kathy Kelley and husband, Floyd of Wallace; step daughter, Jannell Gledhill and step son, Gerald D. Cavenaugh, both of San Diego, CA; granddaughters, Laura Kelley and Sarah Kelley; step grandchildren, Teresa Harvey, John D. Carter, Jr., Melinda Kempa, Geoffrey Gledhill, Gregory Robinson and Brian Robinson; and step great grand children, Kimberly, Kyle, Cote, Sam and Tyler Jack.

Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Northeast Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with the Reverend Lester Hunter and the Reverend Willard Hardison officiating.

Burial will follow in Cavenaugh Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Brian Robinson, Gregory Robinson, Kenneth R. Cavenaugh, Gene Cavenaugh, Shelton Batts and Floyd Jones, Jr.

The family will receive friends 2:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday, one hour prior to the funeral service at Northeast PFWB Church and other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Floyd Kelley.
