Lenora Evans Ward, age 93, passed gently into her eternal heavenly rest on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 with family  surrounding her with love.

She was born September 10, 1930, the daughter of Quille and Katie Gore Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ward; daughter, Paula Kirkman; sons-in-law, Ephraim Brown and Dee Ward.

Lenora is survived by her son, James Paul Ward (Agnes); daughters, Brenda Krynicki (Douglas), Linda Brown, and Vickie Ward; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, two great great grandsons; and brother, H. L. Evans.

In years past Lenora and Paul were faithful members of Pleasant Meadows Free Will Baptist Church where they often shared their musical talents.

Lenora was an extraordinary woman of God whose resounding faith and love for family was unmatched. Her brightly shining light often served as a guide to those around her. Those that knew Lenora will always remember her passion for music, cooking (best biscuits and pound cakes) for those she loved, and family gatherings.  She was a true example of what it meant to be a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Her presence in our lives will be forever missed but we find solace in knowing she is at peace and rejoicing with her Almighty Father.

Funeral services will be private.
