Levy Paul Bonnett, Jr., age 82, of Castle Hayne passed peacefully from his earthly life Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at his home.

He was born July 13, 1938 in Wilmington, the son of Levy Paul Bonnett, Sr. and Bessie Justice Bonnett Berkley.

Levy is survived by his wife, Elaine Jonkheer Bonnett; sons, Christopher Bonnett and wife, Michele, and Scott Bonnett and wife, Arlene; grandchildren, Tyler Bonnett, Colin Bonnett, Kira Bonnett, Tyler Savage, and Brooke Savage; two great grandchildren; brother, Donald Bonnett (Marsha); sisters-in-law, Annette Jonkheer, Mary Ann Schmidt, and Ann Miller;  brothers-in-law, Charlie Jonkheer and Robert Jonkheer; and many extended family and friends.

Levy was a faithful member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and a Life Member of Cape Fear Optimist Club. He served his state and country honorably in the NC National Guard.

A Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2021 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Father Roger Malonda Nyimi will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
