Lewis Edward Tyner, Jr., age 81, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

He was born on October 20, 1940 in Marion County, SC to the late Lewis Edward Tyner, Sr. and Lettie Ola (Stephens) Tyner.

Lewis was a hard-working, tough man, who loved his family very much. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, reading and watching old western movies. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Lewis was a bright light to many people and will be dearly missed.

Lewis is survived by his wife, Susan Elaine (Conner) Tyner; sons, Edward Tyner and wife, Brenda, Chris Tyner and wife, Tammy, and David Tyner and wife, Jennifer; daughter, Angela Johnson and husband, Andy; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by his sister, Letha Tyner Williams.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
