Born on November 4, 1955 in Pender County, Libby was the daughter of the late Amos David Garriss, Sr. and Rose Rivenbark Garriss.

Libby was a loving wife and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She found great joy in the simplest of things, but her greatest joy was her family. Being a wonderful cook, she took great pride in baking cakes for her family and others. Libby was a strong, courageous and yet gentle woman who brought out the good in all those who were near and dear to her. She taught those who loved her to love each other. Libby will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Her family is grateful to God for her life and for your kindness, friendship and prayers.
