Lila Wells Farrior, age 91, of Willard died Monday, February 13, 2012 at the Brian Center of Wallace.

She was born on February 23, 1920 in Duplin County and was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Mary Caroline Wells. She was predeceased by her husband, John Farrior; sisters, Harriett Rebecca Wells Phillips and Annie Frances Wells Jones and brothers, Robert Lee Wells, Jr., W.E. "Sam" Wells and Elwin Wells.

Lila was a dedicated member of Willard Baptist Church and past Worthy Matron of Pat McGowen Chapter No. 138 Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are her devoted children, John "Jay" Farrior, Jr. of Willard and Carol F. Johnson (Dean) of Ivanhoe; granddaughters, Kristen Johnson and Lauren Johnson; sister, Crystal Caroline Johnson of Rose Hill and brothers, Jacob "Jake" Joseph Wells (Mabel) of Calahan, FL and William Josey "Joe" Wells (Katie) of Teachey and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lila was a loving mother and caring grandmother and sister. She found great joy in the simplest things, but her greatest joy was family. With her knowledge of God's Word and her love for Christ, she diligently taught Sunday School for over 60 years. Lila also had a love for music and learned to play the piano later in life. She enjoyed sharing her talent by playing the piano in church. With her warm heart and gentle spirit she was a good neighbor and friend. Lila will be remembered for her generous nature, her love for family and friends and her steadfast faith in God.

Graveside funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 15,2012 at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Watha with the Reverend Bob Millis officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace and other times at the home of Dean and Carol Johnson in Ivanhoe.
