Lillian Marie Elks, of Rocky Point, North Carolina, passed away April 10, 2018, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was a born in Edgecombe County, NC to the late Clifton Phillips and Lillian Owens Phillips.

Marie was a loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed taking care of her family. In her younger years she was an avid photographer and often traveled with her husband, Bill.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bill Elks; daughter, Terry Elks; and sister, Louise Lofton.

Left to remember her are, son, William Harding and wife Libby; grandsons, Dylan Elks and wife Katharine, Dustin Elks and wife Michelle; granddaughter, Erika Houlahan and wife Kristin; and great-grandchildren, Alisha, Ashlynn, Emmett, Anderson, and Bryson.

A service in Marie's memory will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Quinn McGowen Funeral – Bradley Creek Chapel in Wilmington. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
