Lillian Chadwick
Murray
Aug 24, 1933 — Dec 6, 2020
Lillian Chadwick Murray passed away peacefully at her home and entered her heavenly home with her family by her side Sunday, December 6, 2020.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Ira and Inez Rivenbark Chadwick and her loving husband, Allison Kenneth Murray, as well as a daughter, Janice M. Kelly; daughter-in-law, Teresa Murray; grandson-in-law, Michael Treto; great grandson, Isaiah Briceno and sisters, Carolyn Barbee and Faye Bass. She is survived by her daughter, Debra M. Murray and her husband, Reuben and son, Kenneth Ray Murray. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Angie Casteen, Kelly Casteen (David Briceno), Michael Casteen (Christina), Allison Kelly-Bloom (Keith), Chenoa Coker (Shea), Wendy Herring (Chris), Wanda Treto (Tony), Mindy Treto, Tammy Murray, and Kristin Marshburn (Brandon); twenty three great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren (plus one on the way) and her sister, Jane Harrell.
She was lovingly known as "Grandma" to her many friends and her church family at Gateway Community Church and the "Grandma with Candy" by all who were welcomed into her home. She loved working outdoors and was well known for her immaculately manicured lawn. But most of all, Grandma loved Jesus and wanted everyone she met to know Him too. Before she became shut-in, her generosity was often shown with a Sunday afternoon lunch trip to Holland's and a nighttime visit to McDonald's. Grandma is no longer here, but her legacy will live on through all that were touched by her life.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 with a viewing one hour prior to the service at Gateway Community Church Family Life Center with The Rev. Ted Mercer, The Rev. Debra Murray and Rev. Rodney Bonham officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. At other times, the family will welcome visitors at Mrs. Lillian's home. Casketbearers will be Michael Casteen, Braxton Treto, Bailey Treto, Riley Murray, Mackenzie Howard and Antonio Salazar.
The Murray Family would like to thank everyone for all of the food, prayers and love that they have and will receive in the coming days.
