Lillian Rhodes Summerlin, 82, of Autryville and formerly of Burgaw passed gently from her earthly life Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Carolina Rehabilitation Center of Cumberland in Fayetteville.

She was born November 4, 1936 in Onslow County, the daughter of the late Olen K. Rhodes, Sr. and Jeanie Harris Rhodes. Also remembered is her husband, Gordon Summerlin who preceded Lillian in death.

Lillian is survived by her sons, Bryan Summerlin (Sue West) and Wayne Summerlin (Patricia); grandchildren, Crystal Turner, James Turner, Christopher Summerlin, Carrie Summerlin, Carley Blake (EJ), Brandon Summerlin and David Futrell; great grandchildren, Farrah, Layla, Weston and Shane; sister, Jeannie Beaver; and many extended family and friends.

Lillian was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed the simplest things in life, but most important was her family.

The family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with funeral service beginning at 12 noon. The Rev. Merrell McKoy will conduct the service.

Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens, Warsaw, NC.
