Linda Gail Malpass
Cunningham
d. Nov 29, 2007
Early in the morning on Thursday, November 29, 2007, Linda Gail joined her son, Jamie Lewis, her mother and father, L. W. and Polly Malpass, and her brother, Calvin Malpass in Glory Land. We can just imagine the glad reunion it must have been when they all got together again - Daddy dancing the jig, Mama singing and clapping, Calvin playing the guitar, and Jamie hugging her so hard saying "What took you so long?".
She leaves behind her husband of nineteen years, Gregory Scott Cunningham, Sr.; daughter Billie Jo Tompkins and her husband, Ryan and their two beautiful children, Jasmine and Jeremy all of Currie; daughter, Rachael Cunningham of Currie; son, Gregory Scott Cunningham, Jr. of the home and his friend, Stephanie; brother, Terry Malpass of Montague and his daughter, Megan and his friend, Linda; sister, Cathy Lavasser and her husband, Lenny; niece, April Jackson and her five children; niece, Tina Baptist and her husband, Jerry and their two children, all of Bristol, TN; nephew, Danny Lee Sweet II of the Virgin Islands; and special uncle, Dickie Cate and his wife, Katie and their two children.
Linda Gail fought to stay on this earth for her beautiful children, who were so precious to her.
Linda's laugh brought joy to all she met. Her greatest gift was the love she had for others. She was a child of the Lord and member of Myrtle Grove Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church.
The Lord said, "Be not afraid for I am with you always even to the ends of the earth and you will never walk alone."
We will celebrate Linda's life with a visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw and at a graveside service on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Malpass Family Cemetery in the Montague Community with Pastor Ray Davis officiating.
In loving memory of Linda in lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, PO Box 1316, Burgaw, NC 28425.
