Linda Batchelor Daughtrey, age 59, of Currie died Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born August 3, 1948 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late James Colen and Frances Watkins Batchelor. She was also predeceased by her sister, Patricia "Pat" Hewett.

Linda was a member of Bear Branch Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of forty-two years, Everett Earl Daughtrey; children, Pam Bain and Brian of Fuquay Varina, Earl Daughtrey and Angie, Dale Daughtrey and Lisa, all of Currie and Franklin Daughtrey and Eric of Castle Hayne; eleven grandchildren; one great grandson; sister, Barbara Barron (Buck); brothers, James C. Batchelor, Jr. (Sandra), Allen Batchelor (Kathy), Charles Ray Batchelor (Kim) and Ronnie Batchelor (Angela); aunt, Helen Wallace; many nieces and nephews and her dog, "Pride".

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Moore Family Cemetery with The Rev Earl Hewett officiating.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Burgaw.

In lieu of flowers the family request that in loving memory of Linda memorial gifts be sent to Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, PO Box 1316, Burgaw, NC 28425.

Linda's family would like to thank family and friends that have cared for Linda during her lengthy illness.
