A kind and gentle soul, a gracious and loving lady, Linda Kay Deal Harts, entered her heavenly home on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the age of 79.

She was born April 12, 1942 to Charles and Ruby Croom Deal, living all of her blessed and wonderful life in Pender County. Also remembered is her beloved husband of 63 years, William Linwood "Tink" Harts; daughter, Anna Lisa Blanford: and infant grandson, Jonathan Jalin Mathis, all who preceded Linda in death.

Linda is survived by her beloved family: daughter, Terry Harts Mathis; grandson, Jamie Mathis; step-grandsons, Sean Mathis and Cory Blandford; great granddaughter, Victoria Grace Mathis; step-great grandson, Garrett Riggs; brothers, James E. Deal (Evelyn) and Charles Deal; and many extended family and friends.

For many years Linda was a faithful member of Coras Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Linda's journey on earth was a life well lived. Her years were filled with an abiding love for the Lord, time spent with family she so adored, and giving freely to all those she came in contact with. Though cancer would rob us of more time with Linda on earth her graciousness, thoughtfulness, warm heart and sweet spirit are a lasting legacy that will live within the hearts of those who knew her best.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2021 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Randy Little and The Rev. Baris Lanier will conduct the service. Linda will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Tink, at Riverview Memorial Park.
