Linda Arlene
Lanier
Mar 8, 1949 — Dec 6, 2025
Linda Rivenbark Lanier, born on March 8, 1949, fell asleep in death on December 6, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of Mary Rivenbark and Roland L. Rivenbark.
Linda shared 59 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Raymond W. Lanier. Together they built a home filled with love, hospitality, and faith. She was a dedicated and caring mother to her daughter, Lea Ann Lanier Knight, and lovingly embraced her son-in-law, Joel Knight, as her own.
Linda found tremendous joy in her two grandchildren, Daniel Joel Knight and Cory Richard Knight, whose lives were brightened by her warmth, affection, and gentle guidance. As one of five siblings, Linda leaves behind her cherished sisters, Mary Lee Augustine and Shirley Woodcock, along with her brothers, Pete Rivenbark and Bobo Rivenbark. She was deeply loved by her extended family and many dear friends. Linda's gentle smile, compassionate spirit, and steadfast faith touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and support offered during this difficult time. Though grief weighs heavy on our hearts, we are comforted by the sure promises found in God's Word.
"No resident will say: 'I am sick.'" — Isaiah 33:24
"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." — John 11:25
With this precious hope firmly in mind, we look forward to the resurrection soon to come, when Linda will awaken in perfect health and peace, reunited with those she loves.
