Linda Tompkins Jones, age 74, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

She was born on August 27, 1946 in Milledgeville, GA to the late Leorn Tompkins and Katie Louise (Nobles) Tompkins.

Linda attended Castle Hayne Church of God. She was a loving and caring mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Linda enjoyed dancing, going to the beach and fishing in Surf City. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. Linda was a bright light to many people and will be missed dearly.

Linda is survived by her sons, Ronnie Dunlap (Michele), Britton Jones (Kandy), and Justin Jones (Erica) and daughter, Teresa Agin; brother, Larry Tompkins; grandchildren, Kenny Agin (Ashley), Jimmy Shephard, Holli Johnson, Trinity Dunlap, Cayne Davis, Madison Kennedy, Shealyn Jones, Rocco Jones, and Will Agin; five great-grandchildren; and special aunt, Bobbie Skipper; special cousin, Sandra Anderson; and special sister-in-law, Cheryl Primm, whom were all very near and dear to her heart.

In addition to her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Jones.

A memorial service will be held at Castle Hayne Church of God on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 2pm with Reverend Andy Ottaway officiating. The family urges attendees to practice social distancing and to please wear a mask.
