Linda Carol Woodcock, 81, passed from her earthly life on May 9, 2026 at her home in Atkinson.

Linda was born December 14, 1944 in Pender County, the daughter of Edmond Woodcock and Mary Lucille Corbett Woodcock. In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Charles E. Woodcock, Sr.; and sisters, Bertha Woodcock Poulson and Emily Woodcock McLaurin.

Linda is survived by her brother, Stanley Woodcock; nephews, Charles E. Woodcock, Jr., Jeffery Woodcock, and Chuck McLaurin, Jr.; nieces, Patricia Woodcock Jenkins (Joe), Tina McLaurin, and Janet Poulson; many great nieces and nephews, several great great nieces and nephews; and many friends all who loved Linda.

Linda grew up in Pender County packing blueberries as a youth where she was taught a strong work ethic which she carried throughout her whole life. Linda graduated from Atkinson High School where she enjoyed playing on the Girl's Basketball Team. Continuing her education she graduated from Miller Motte Business School which is now Miller-Motte College. Linda was an intelligent lady setting up several businesses of her own – a legal service business named "My Secretary" and Linda sold cosmetic/beauty items for over 30 years. Linda was known as "The Avon Lady." She was a past member of The Daughters of The American Revolution.

Linda was a Christian and a caring thoughtful lady who dearly loved her family. She was a member of and attended Haw Bluff Baptist Church. Linda will be missed, but we find solace in knowing she is at peace, resting in the arms of her Almighty Father.
