Lloyd Dean Jones, Jr. of Jonestown Road Wallace, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015 at his residence.

He was born June 26, 1960 in Pender County and was the son of Lloyd Dean "L.D." Jones, Sr. of Wallace and the late Joyce Hensley Jones.

Surviving, in addition to his loving father are his children, Sandy Jones of Sanford and Jimmy Jones of Timberlake; grandson, Romeo Sandoval and soon-to-be grandson, Mason Jones; brothers, Thomas Jones of Wallace and Benji Jones and wife, Jessica of Raleigh; sister, Angela Jones of Wallace and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

"Redtop" as he was affectionately known was a wonderful brother who loved his family dearly. With a big heart and generous spirit he would give you the shirt off his back. Redtop loved to fish and be outdoors. He was a simple, hard working man who did not like drama. Redtop lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed spending his time with his family and friends. Redtop will surely be missed but cherished memories of him will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

At Redtop's request he is being cremated.

The family will be receiving friends at his sister, Angela Jones' home.
