Lorraine Engle, 78, of Burgaw passed gently from her earthly life Sunday, November 24, 2019 at her home.

She was born November 13, 1941 in  Rock, West Virginia and was the daughter of Cline Emory and Ruby Parker Agee. In addition to her parents Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Engle; and brothers, Reginald Agee and Johnny Agee.

Lorraine is survived by her daughters, Joyce Engle (Richard Butler) and Sandy Brown; granddaughter, Brianne Brown; sister, Judy Siko (Arnold); brother, Dareel Agee (Rita); many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was a faithful member of Mission Baptist Church.

Not only was Lorraine a devoted wife, but a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Being blessed with musical abilities, she enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. In years past Lorraine grew beautiful flowers and had a bountiful garden. She was an excellent seamstress, a wonderful cook and best of all created a home filled with love and joy. Lorraine's feisty personality and joyful spirit will always be remembered.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw with Pastor Nick Smith conducting the service.  The family will receive friends following the service.
