Louise "Weezy" Merritt Davis, 89 years young, originally from Currie, Pender County, was called to her heavenly home at 8:20, Sunday morning on February 4, 2024. She was born November 13, 1934 to the late Chancey E. & Ida Mae Merritt.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie C. Davis, Jr., along with her brothers, and sister, Dorothy Rivenbark, in the beautiful world above with Jesus Christ our Lord.

She will always be and forever deeply cherished and loved by family and everyone who knew her. She lived her life beautifully and gracefully.

She is survived by her children, Chuck Davis of Leland, Jean Lilley of South Carolina, Cathy Janicki (Bill) of Rocky Point with whom she made her home, Johnny Davis, Sr. of Southport, her sister, Myrtle Lowery of Mississippi, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Quinn McGowan Funeral Home in Wilmington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
